Checking In and Clocking Out

You know what happens when you make goals and plans? Something else comes along. I’m not even close to being ready to do like a friend of mine says they have and stop making goals and plans… but I do sometimes wonder. While I did get an Etsy listing posted, took pictures for a second, and started to get the studio back in order; I did not get nearly as far I’d like on either of those goals.

Instead I was reminded I need to finish taxes stuff and have continued to be sick for the third time in four months. I usually get sick -maybe- once a year. Starting to wonder if this is a side effect of September’s procedure? I dunno. I do know that being elbow deep in craft supplies reminded me I need to STOP BUYING SUPPLIES AND MAKE THINGS.

I blame part of that on the past couple months not working in my studio and instead bringing things upstairs. It is easy to forget how much I have down there when I’m not looking at it. Granted, part of that was special projects I suddenly decided to take on, which will hopefully pan out soon… but part of it was also OOOH SHINY.

Looking at the numbers today should help a bit with that. They also motivated me a little bit more to work on Etsy, which was a welcome side-effect. I very recently had someone place an order and cancel a couple hours later, which was frustrating and making me question even having an Etsy space. This was a reminder that it is a revenue stream, and more of those are always better than less.

Another stream that should come to fruition today is the aluminum cans I have been collecting over the past year. Definitely looking forward to that!

Join me again Thursday to read my review of the thread box I was gifted recently. A little sewing project gave me reason to use it.
